Floatel Superior
When Nordic Rig Tech came aboard Floatel Superior, the brief was clear: come in, solve what needs solving, and deliver. What awaited was not a single, well-defined job, but a series of parallel tasks spread across the entire vessel. The assignment was carried out in the winter of 2025/2026, with seven Nordic Rig Tech employees involved in the project.
The starting point was the gangway. As part of a structural modification of the pedestal, cables had to be disconnected and reconnected. When faults appeared, they were traced and corrected on the spot. In the emergency generator room, a new cabinet was installed with cable runs out to several locations around the vessel. Some of the cabling was fibre, fusion-spliced directly on board.
“Working for Nordic Rig Tech on Floatel Superior was rewarding, with varied tasks and plenty to learn. The supervisor had good control of the different jobs, and the work was carried out efficiently.”
— Willhelm Riise, electrician

On the helideck, every floodlight was replaced and adapted to a new type. The recreation area got new outlets and data points in common areas and meeting rooms, the galley was wired for a new dishwasher, and on the bridge the Vissim system was cabled up. Everything is tested and documented.
“Nordic Rig Tech has carried out various electrical installation, modification and upgrade work on board Floatel Superior. (...) The work was performed professionally and in accordance with the agreed requirements, with satisfactory quality and cooperation throughout the project period.”
— Ronny Havnerås, Chief Electrical Engineer, Floatel Superior
